About Us
mortgagefrance.com
is an independent mortgage broking business, run by Carole and Tony Bayliss who have lived in France since September 2000.
We have over 18 years experience of arranging mortgages and working in the Financial Services Industry in the UK.
Like many other people, we fell in love with France and the French way of
life. We moved here and now provide our services to others who live and work in
France or who are wanting to make the move to France and buy a property either
as their first home or as a holiday home.
With all the wealth of experience of the UK and French legislation, together
with understanding the language, we have helped many people raise finance for
their dream homes in France.
The mortgagefrance.com
website was first launched in 2002 and updated in 2005 as there have been some
very significant changes with French legislation and mortgage products.
We will make the opportunity of buying a property in France as easy as
possible for you, and take most of the difficulties away from you. With the
use of e-Mail, fax and telephone many tasks can be completed speedily. We pride
ourselves on our speed of response and service.
We work very closely with the French banks and mortgage providers we use.
With some, we have our own dedicated underwriter - which means we can have quick
decisions for you - we demand good service as well.
- We can work out the maximum mortgage you will qualify for.
- We'll advise you on the monthly costs.
- We'll negotiate with the lenders on your behalf.
- We can put you in touch with a notaire and if necessary an English
speaking tax lawyer here in France if you are unsure about your future
financial/tax position when you move to France.
- Apart from arranging your mortgage and liasing with the lender, we can
introduce you to a general insurance broker for your buildings and contents
insurance, as well as 'top-up' health cover, car insurance, and even pet
plans, if you are intending to bring your pets with you.
At every step of the way we'll be here to help you - in other words:
